Averil is an exceptional professional. She is patient, methodical and deliberate in her approach to teaching. We've always received honest feedback from Averil and I feel very pleased with the level of tutor-parent communication - a true partnership. Averil offers the option of the parent being present during the lesson - we've found this to be truly beneficial as we've learned how to best support our son at home. My son has built a lot of confidence in all key areas of the 11+ exam. However, Averil has also helped him immensely with his creative writing skills - something he used to feel very anxious about at the start. Averil quickly identified areas where my daughter lacked confidence and where she needed more tuition. Averil was a terrific maths tutor; engaging, always positive and very encouraging. She is an extremely thorough tutor who was always excellent at communicating my child's progress with me... My child also enjoyed her non-verbal tutoring. We did not use Averil for English support as my child was already confident in that area. However, she recommended some excellent support and reading material. Averil is also capable and confident in going through practise 11+ material.
